Falling Skies is the latest sci-fi television series from TNT or any network I'm aware of to make it's way onto the small screen since Stargate Universe. The show is set during the aftermath of an alien attack that took out (according to the show) all but 10% of the population six months after the initial invasion.

The Syfy television network is on the cusp of putting it's summer lineup on the small screen. Among the sci-fi TV fare are several gems and a few shows & movies I'm skeptical about.

Falling Skies is an upcoming sci-fi series on the TNT television network. The show is set during the aftermath of an attack by an alien force that leaves the Earth decimated. Six months after the initial attack, a rag-tag band of survivor’s come together to fight back. The newly formed, group made up of soldiers of necessity, fight to win back their planet from the alien occupation.

Stargate SG-1 isn't bringing the heat with new episodes but fans of the show can still enjoy all 10 seasons of SG-1 goodness via reruns. On May 3 beginning 8:30 AM/7:30c Stargate SG-1 will run through a marathon of episodes chosen by, you, the viewer.

Tonight (April 14th, 2011) on one of the worst shows on television, American Idol, you can view the "debut" of the full length trailer for the new movie “Cowboys & Aliens” by director Jon Fabreau.

“Source Code” the movie is currently enjoying praise from a multitude of reviewers. Source Code director, Duncan Zowie Jones, is coming off of another hit with the movie “Moon”. Moon was by far my favorite sci-fi movie in the 2000’s and it appears from the reviews he has hit the mark once more.
